Are you getting excited about your upcoming move? Do you feel endlessly relieved that you have found us to make that move go even smoother, so you do not have to worry about moving your cars yourself? If so, make sure you know all the things that you can do in order to make your auto transportation service even quicker and smoother!

Wash Your Car

While this may sound silly, it is actually a really important step to take that we always recommend before having your vehicle shipped. Having a freshly washed car allows you to identify any possible scratches, dents, or other forms of damage that your vehicle may presently have. This will help you to distinguish anything that may arise after your vehicle is shipped. Should you find any sort of damage or marking worth noting, we suggest taking a picture or keeping some sort of record of the mark. This will allow you to be aware of what existed on your car before we shipped it.

Clean the Inside of Your Car

Now, we do not mean you need to vacuum and detail the full interior of your vehicle; however, we do suggest cleaning out your car so that you do not have anything of value inside. We actually suggest trying to not have anything inside your vehicle at all if possible. While on the road, your vehicle can get a bit jostled around. In order to prevent too much movement of things, simply avoid having things in the vehicle!

Limit Your Gas Tank

Despite what many people assume, you actually do not want to ship your vehicle with a full gas tank. In fact, the sweet spot that we recommend people try to have their gas tank at is about ¼ of a tank. This allows for plenty of gasoline to drive the car to and from the pick-up and drop-off locations, leaving the shipping driver plenty of gasoline as well in case of an emergency without too much gasoline in the tank.

Check for Any Leaks

One thing you certainly do not want to do is ship your vehicle with some sort of leak. Whether it is a gas leak or a leak of another fluid, it puts your car and the rest of your shipping vehicle at higher risk while in transit.
