Nissan has made it known that they are looking to recall almost about every single 2014—2016 Rogue SUV in order to fix a problem with the dashboard harness connector.

Which in turn, causes a fire in the dashboard.

There is water and salt that tends to enter through the driver’s side footwell in order to “wick up the dash-side harness tape and enterring the connector.” Nissan believes this is dangerous. It’s likely to lead to a number of problems. When you look at a report filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Nissan believes that the report would file for the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). There was a failure of driver’s-side power window as well as power seat controls. There’s an illumination of an all-wheel-drive system warning light that indicates a “burning odor.” This then creates a smoke under the dashboard on the driver’s side, which creates fire.

Nissan needs to temper their fire.

There is maybe only one percent for the recalled vehicles. There are at least 305,220 Nissan Rogues that have been created at Renault Samsung Motors plant within South Korea and 383,726 built at Tennessee for a whopping total of 688,946 units from 2014 to 2016 models. Nissan is changing manufacturing towards the end of the 2016 models. New Rogues won’t quite experience such an issue, and the NHTSA believes that no other Nissan or Infiniti vehicles for the same. Nisan had to use a harness layout and tape towards the earlier Rogues.

Owners are notified beginning March 2nd. A Reimbusement is likely to happen before the recall noticfication. Being that the vehicles in the recall can’t be any longer under warranty.
