Nissan has made it known that they are looking to recall almost about every single 2014—2016 Rogue SUV in order to fix a problem with the dashboard harness connector.

Which in turn, causes a fire in the dashboard.

There is water and salt that tends to enter through the driver’s side footwell in order to “wick up the dash-side harness tape and enterring the connector.” Nissan believes this is dangerous. There’s an illumination of an all-wheel-drive system warning light that indicates a “burning odor.” This then creates a smoke under the dashboard on the driver’s side, which creates fire.

Nisan had to use a harness layout and tape towards the earlier Rogues.

Owners are notified beginning March 2nd. A Reimbusement is likely to happen before the recall noticfication. Being that the vehicles in the recall can’t be any longer under warranty.
