Yesterday, residents of Lake County, Yolo County, and Napa County had to evacuate due to the Pawnee Fire that has been spreading.

The Pawnee Fire first started at Yolo County on Saturday and has not been fully contained yet.

The number of people that were evacuated has not been reported yet, however, there were no injuries caused by the fire.

As of Sunday evening, only 2% of the fire was contained, according to the Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.

Pawnee Fire is the second biggest wildfire that has happened in Northern California.

About 22 structures were destroyed as well as 14,500 acres of land.

According to the National Weather Service, the smoke that was coming from the fire in Yolo County was horribly impacting the air quality of Napa, Sonoma, San Mateo, and San Francisco.

Residents near Wine Country were forced to evacuate. Their homes and lives were in great danger because of the fire.

Ash was falling from the sky in the Bay Area, which was coming from the fire.

It was reported that people in Marin County were coughing when outside and the sky was dark during the day.

Today, Mercury News reported that 44,500 acres of land were burnt from the Pawnee Fire. Lands in Lake County, Yolo County, as well as Napa County were horribly affected by the fire.

Firefighters are still trying to put out the fire in Lake County. Yesterday, they had 73% containment of the fire.

This morning, they only contained 3% of the fire. There were 1,200 firefighters on the location of the fire. The firefighters are from all over the state.

There are evacuation centers in Lake County as well as in Guinda, CA. Certain roads were also closed down and remain closed today for the protection of local residents.
