SAN JOSE, California — A man was stabbed to death Saturday morning in San Jose’s 12th homicide of the year, police said.

The stabbing occurred about 4:12 a.m. near San Tomas Aquino Road and Payne Avenue in San Jose.

The victim, whose name was not released, was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

The two other men showed up at an unnamed local hospital shortly afterward. Their wounds were not life-threatening.

One man was detained for questioning.

The motive and circumstances surrounding the incident are currently unknown.
