SAN JOSE, California — Sunday evening A woman was killed in a crash in front of a busy shopping plaza on Silver Creek Valley Road, according to San Jose police.
Police said, the crash was reported at 6:05 p.m. at the intersection at Beaumont Canyon Road, near the Bel Aire Luxury Estates and about a half-mile north of the Silver Creek Valley Country Club.
According to an initial investigation, a gray 1998 Toyota vehicle was northbound on Silver Creek Valley Road approaching the intersection at the same time a southbound silver 2004 Mercedes-Benz was turning left into the Bel Aire subdivision. The cars collided, and the Toyota rolled over, ejecting its driver, police said.
Woman Driving Toyota Dies in Crash
The Toyota driver was rushed to the hospital, where she died from her injuries, police said. Her identity was not immediately released by the police, as they continue their investigation. We can assume that the police will release her identity to the public eventually. After all, this incident affects the entire community. The people of San Jose want to know who this person was.
The man driving the Mercedes stopped at the scene and cooperated with traffic investigators. Police said there was no indication that either driver was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
