San Jose Police reported that on late Tuesday night four people were injured on Senter Road because of shooting and stabbing. The incident is causing concern throughout the community that something like this violent event could happen again. Let’s hope those fears do not come to fruition.
According to Officer Gina Tepoorten at 11:49 p.m., someone reported about a shooting and stabbing to San Jose police responded to the 2300 block of Senter Road. Police said that one woman and three men who were taken to the hospital do not have any life-threatening injuries. However, the authorities are still concerned about the potential for similar incidents. In those potential future incidents, we may not be so lucky.
The shooting and stabbing happened in a San Jose strip mall.
It is reported that the incident happened in a Vietnamese restaurant situated in a strip mall at the intersection of Tully Road and Senter. San Jose police would not settle where the case happened. They wanted to protect the anonymity of all of those involved in the incident. Additionally, police didn’t want to affect the business itself any more than it already will be. After all, few people will want to eat in a restaurant where a shooting took place just days prior.
Police said they have not acknowledged any suspects. Police did not explore any other details surrounding the incident, at least to the press. However, their investigation will continue onwards into the rest of the week, and maybe month. This is the exact kind of situation where a thorough police investigation needs to happen. They know this, and they’re starting on that investigation now in order to get to the bottom of this terrible incident. We hope they find the cause soon so we can rest a little easier at night!
