The crime happened in an Eastside neighborhood, as San Jose Police Department.
The suspect named Esteban Mosqueda lured the 17-year-old girl to a secluded area on Sunday, at about 6: 30 p.m.
As San Jose Police reported, 20-year-old man identified as Esteban Mosqueda violently assaulted a teenage girl at the location 2700 block of South King Road, where the Liberty Baptist Church is situated.
Esteban Mosqueda was charged with the assault with a deadly weapon, false imprisonment, and sexual battery. Detectives with SJPDS’s Covert Response Unit took Mosqueda into a custody and sent him to Santa Clara jail.
There is no information available about the victim’s physical condition after the assault.
Police Chief Eddie Garcia said the detectives have done an amazing work by using the police instincts to identify the violent predator and take them off the streets.
