San Jose Car Transport: Terms and Conditions
San Jose Car Transport is a licensed and bonded carrier and broker. Terms and Conditions presented below are a part of any order and an agreement between our Company and the Client. Also, any order can be subject to rejection or cancellation by the Company at any moment without explanation.
These Terms and Conditions can change at any time by the Company without any given notice.
The Client authorizes the Company to organize the shipping from the Point of Origin to the Point of Destination as specified in the order.
Every delivery is door-to-door unless otherwise is specified in the order. As some areas and streets are not accessible for the Company’s trucks, alternative locations for pick-up and/or drop-off, the Client will choose a new location.
The Client is also responsible for preparing the vehicle for transport. The removal or proper security of all the loose parts and accessories is mandatory. Furthermore, if anything that is not secure is lost in the process of car shipping or damage the vehicle or other vehicles, it is the Client’s responsibility.
At the moment of pick-up and drop-off, both the Company’s carrier and the Client inspect the vehicle on the subject of damage. Any damage must appear in the Bill of Lading. Signing the Bill of Lading after the delivery without noting any damage means that the delivery went smoothly and the Company is not responsible for it anymore.
All the Company’s car carriers have a minimum of $250,000 cargo and $1,000,000 in liability insurance for the vehicles they ship as required by law.
All the claims must be filed at the time of delivery. The Client must also submit a claim in writing to the carrier who is responsible for the vehicle for the time of transport.
All the shipment dates are an estimate.
The Company is not responsible for the items inside of the vehicle.
The Company is not responsible for any rental fees.
A minimum deposit of $100 is mandatory to place an order with the Company. The amount of the deposit depends on the type of vehicle and its condition. The rest of the payment is due to the carrier, at the time of delivery.
The cancellation is free if placed no later than 24 hours prior the estimated pick-up time.
